The rise of a young padel talent

Miguel Yanguas Diez was born in Malaga. His first steps into the world of padel came at just six years old, following in his father’s footsteps. His dedication and enthusiasm for this sport soon became evident, leading Yanguas to build a career full of success and satisfaction.

The beginnings and steady professional growth

His sporting journey took a decisive turn at just 15 years old, when he began challenging already established players. Starting from 2018, Yanguas became a regular presence on the World Padel Tour (WPT), reaching his first final stage in the Melilla Challenger alongside Alex Arroyo. This important result paved the way for his entry into the most prestigious tournaments just one year later, alongside Ivan Ramirez.

2019 marked a key year for Yanguas: he finished the season in 82nd place in the WPT ranking after reaching the round of 16 twice in the Outeiros de Rei and Paris Challengers, as well as the round of 32 in the Madrid Master and the Menorca Open. These results confirmed the steady growth of the young talent from Malaga, laying the foundations for further success.

National and international successes

Between 2014 and 2019, Miguel Yanguas dominated the Spanish and international championships dedicated to young players. Particularly noteworthy is his hat-trick at the Junior World Championships: in 2015 in Mexico at just 13 years old, then in 2017 in his Malaga, and finally in 2019 in Castellon. This extraordinary success demonstrates the exceptional talent and qualities of young Yanguas.

Ivan Ramirez proved to be one of the most important teammates in Yanguas’s career. Together they achieved their first significant results in 2019 and represented Spain internationally, culminating in victory at the Junior World Championship.
