Giulia Ferrandi - Footballer

Born in Bergamo, Giulia Ferrandi began her football career in Atalanta’s youth team, where she showed promising talent from a young age. Her Serie A debut came on October 6, 2007, against Tavagnacco, marking the beginning of a journey that would see her grow rapidly in the Italian football scene.

Successes at Brescia

In the winter transfer market of the 2009/2010 season, Giulia moved to Brescia, where she continued to excel. On December 5, 2009, she made her debut wearing the Leonesse shirt, scoring her first Serie A goal on January 16, 2010, against Lazio CF. With Brescia, Giulia won an Italian Cup, also contributing with a decisive assist in the final against Napoli.

After a period away due to an injury, in December 2013, she returned to football in futsal with Lupe. She shone in Serie A, scoring important goals including a hat-trick against Torino in February 2014.

The return to 11-a-side football with West Ham and Watford

In September 2015, Giulia was signed by West Ham in the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division, scoring two goals in eight appearances. Subsequently, she played with Watford in the FA Women's Super League 2, scoring her first goal against Oxford United on July 17, 2016.

In November 2016, Giulia signed with Fiorentina, returning to play 11-a-side football in Serie A. She contributed to the victory of the league title and the Italian Cup with the Viola team. Subsequently, she played with Florentia S.G. in Serie B, contributing to promotion to Serie A in the playoff against Roma CF.

The move to Pomigliano and Lazio

In 2020, Giulia moved to Pomigliano, where she contributed to promotion to Serie A despite the final second place. During the 2021-2022 season, she played for Lazio, before announcing her return to the Biancoceleste team for the following season during the summer transfer market of 2023.

The international career

Giulia Ferrandi represented Italy at youth level, from Under-17 to Under-19, also participating in the category European Championship in 2009. She also received her first call-up to the Italian women’s national futsal team on January 24, 2015, thus contributing to her growth in the national football scene.
