Tommaso Cassandro, born in 2000, took his first steps in the world of football within Bologna’s youth sector. From a young age, he showed promising talent, culminating in winning the Viareggio Tournament with the Rossoblù shirt.

An extremely versatile right-back, Cassandro has shown that he can adapt to different roles within the defensive department, thanks to his defensive ability and impressive physical qualities. His repertoire includes not only defensive solidity, but also dribbling ability and the capacity to attack along the wing.

In 2019, his professional journey began with a loan to Novara, a club playing in Serie C, giving him the opportunity to make his debut in professional football.

The move to Cittadella

But it was in 2020 that his career took a significant turn: the permanent transfer to Cittadella. Wearing the Granata shirt, Cassandro continued to stand out for his reliability in defense and, on April 30, 2022, he scored his first professional goal, deciding a Serie B match against Brescia.

The following year, his talent did not go unnoticed and Lecce, a Serie A club, decided to acquire him permanently in January 2023. Cassandro signed a three-year contract with an option to renew for another two years, moving for an estimated fee of around 400,000 euros. His debut in the top division took place on March 19 of the same year, in the match against Fiorentina, although his season with the Salentini ended with only one appearance.

The arrival at Como

But Cassandro’s adventure continued without stopping: on July 13, 2023, he permanently moved to Como, thus returning to Serie B and facing new challenges and growth opportunities in his football career.
